We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Springdale right outside the park. We asked for a handicap accessible room. I expected a good room for the price but it was pitiful. It was small and dark. We couldn't get around in it with our equipment. We went to the front desk to tell them the room was too small. The manager came in and removed the desk and chair. That helped a little. He also brought in a lamp. They said they have a larger room but it was being used.
My husband was using a scooter so he was able to get into the bathroom. I can walk a little so I walked in. The bathtub was not set up well enough for him to shower safely so he sat down in the tub and took a bath instead. The rest of the hotel was nice and the people were great.

We ate dinner at a restaurant next to the hotel. We liked it so well that we ate there every night. It's the Switchback Grille and Trading Company. They went out of their way to deal with my husband's dietary needs.
The Riverside Walk was the best trail for us. It is so delightful that it's probably worthy of a trip just to see it.
I was also excited about the Parus Trail. We crossed over the water on a beautiful bridge.
However, once we crossed the bridge we couldn't go any farther. It's an up and down trail and we didn't think our batteries would take us very far. So, we sadly took a few pictures and crossed back over the bridge.

| There are places to eat right in the park. We put our lunch on a tray and took it outside to eat. |

Our Zion Park adventure was fun but not as accessible as we hoped. We would also make sure we had the larger handicapped room if we ever stayed at the same hotel.
