We discovered this park not far from our house. I am always looking for places to feed ducks. Gardner Village has been our favorite for some time but we were unceremoniously booted out during the weeks leading up to Halloween. Just kidding--they didn't actually kick us out. They just sealed up the parking places and asked for $5 each time we visit.

We did find some ducks here swimming in a canal. There is no water in Bingham Creek most of the year.

These ducks were just as happy to see us as the ones at Gardner Village. Unfortunately, the fourth day we visited happened to be the time when the county turned off the water to the canal. The ducks were just walking around in the muddy puddles. Note to self: don't visit the ducks after Oct 15. The canals are for irrigation and are only full from April to October each year.
Walking down to the canal and back up to the car makes me feel like I got my exercise for the day. Here is Bill sitting on the walkway where it crosses the canal.

Pretty fall foliage along the creek.
There is a baseball back stop near the parking lot. No restrooms in this section of the trail.
There is a more formal baseball field across the street.
There are restrooms, too, although they were locked when we were there in October. They are probably open only when there are official baseball games going on.
The concrete trail continues along the Bingham creek for another two miles. There is a small parking lot at the other end, too.
There are some beautiful houses and yards along the trail.
More foliage along the creek and a golf course at the top of the ridge. People sight deer here in the early morning and at dusk.
We stopped when we reached this wall because I needed to rest. Then we headed back to the car.
We saw a few runners on the trail but no bikes or skateboards.
